The Giving Circle

  • Our friends at Met Council reached out to us with regards to a wonderful Mitzvah opportunity in connection with Covid-19.

At Met Council they are working tirelessly to ensure that seniors, holocaust survivors and those struggle to put food on the table are able to take care of themselves and their families safely throughout the duration of this virus.  The calls for help have multiplied and the challenge of answering the call event greater. But they are committed to help with our assistance.

Currently they are in need of a number of volunteers each week in Manhattan who have vehicles and are able to make package deliveries to seniors who are unable to safely get the food they need. We anticipate needing approximately 7-8 routes per week. Each route would be about 4-6 deliveries. They are asking that volunteers be between the ages of 18-59, be healthy and symptom free. The Met Council will provide PPE for all volunteers performing knock and drop deliveries to clients front doors.

Thank you for your consideration in taking part in this opportunity to help others most in need.
